The "standard" peanut is made from:
2 reclaimed tennis balls
stretchy fabric
100% wool yarn

This soft, fuzzy, warm and lovely item is such a stress reliever.

The standard peanut comes in many colors and is fully felted in 100% wool fibers. This makes it super soft and almost plushy. Most peanuts are solid colors, but at the end of every ball of yarn I end up a bit short, so the odd "peanut" out gets a different colored end.

It has so many uses, but just to mention a few:
back massage -- have someone run it up and down your back
foot massage -- place it on the floor and run it under your socked or bare foot
head/neck rest -- while lying on a flat surface place the peanut at the base of your neck - where your skull meets your spine - and relax (this position is great for relieving upper back tension and opening the sinuses)
pressure point assistant -- place at the base of your back while sitting in an upright position (like in a chair or against a wall) and recline back slowly until tension is relieved but not so much as to cause pain.
